After 30 days, you must make all returns directly to the manufacturer of your product. For website related issues please email rene@longskate.com Copyright© this entire site all rights reserved Rene Bruce all images shot by us and stolen will be prosecuted under the Copyrights laws shoot your own pictures. 1998'-2007' Now for some helpful information on longboard skateboarding. 1) Almost any person can ride a longboard skateboard, the best thing to do is ask us for recomendation on a board that you might want to buy to suit your needs, we will need to know some things to help you, so email us your age, sex, height weight shoe size, and general ability, IE: I snowboard, or surf, or I'm totally not athletic and need to learn from ground zero. 2) This sport is a great training tool for cross over sports, as well as using to learn other sports, so if you want to learn to snowboard or surf, this will make it 100% easier on you for sure, it's similar in lots of ways. 3) If your starting from scratch, take your board to carpet, or a grassy area. Practice standing on your board, bend your knees while your standing on your board, stand sideways so your heels are on one side and toes on the other, now pressure from side to side, you will need to learn how to kick your board (make the board go forward), this is done by pointing your forward foot toward the front of the board and then your back foot will lower to the ground and push you down the road, now if you practice standing on your board while on grass with your forward foot on your board and knee bent take the back foot and place just above grass and swing foot back and forth this will teach you the balance that you will need once you get on a hard surface. 4) Stopping your board, a few ways, one is like starting, you do the same, keep forward foot on board and knee bent, then instead of pushing, you take your back foot and place on surface and apply even pressure on ground with entire soul of shoe and drag yourself to a stop, you will need to apply more pressure to your heel at first then when you slow down more evenly to entire foot. The other way is to walk off the front of your board, this is only done at slow speeds say under 8mph... what you do is kinda like run of the front of your board and make sure that you push the board behind you as you step off at speed so that your board will not keep going down the road! The other way is to drag your ball of your shoe, this is done the same as the first technique shown above, but instead you keep your heel on your back foot touching the edge of your board, and point your foot to the ground so that your toes and ball of foot touch ground while you keep your side of your inside heel toching the board, and this will slow you down, then you can use one of the above methods to stop, this heel on board is good for slowing your speed anytime!
